Carsolidation

During the early 1900’s hundreds of car companies existed. Although, it seems there are many choices and many nameplates they are controlled by a handful of car conglomorates. I decided to put together a list of brands and their owners. The list is focused on the US market and does not include companies such as Proton of Malaysia, Ssangyong of Tawian or Maruti of India to name a few.

BMW – based in Munich, Germany. Owned by the Quandt family, which Johanna Quandt is the largest shareholder making her the richest German female and one of the richest females in the world.
