Not sure how i came upon this topic in google, but below is a list of the 5 biggest yachts in the world. The picture on the left is of Paul Allens’ Octopus at night. 1. Not Named Yet, length is 160 meters. Owner is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai. Sea trials commenced in 2005 and interior completion is anticipated for late 2006 2. Prince Abdul Aziz, 147m. Saudi royal family. 3. Al Salamah, 139m. Crown Prince Sultan of Saudi Arabia. 4. Rising Sun, 138m. Larry Ellison. 5. Octopus, 126m. Paul Allen. Cost over USD 200 million. It has two helicopters, seven boats, a 10 man submarine and a remote controlled vehicle for crawling on the Ocean floor. The submarine has the capacity to sleep eight for up to two weeks underwater. On average, owners must spend a minimum of 10 percent of the purchase price every year to keep these yachts in good working condition and cover crew salaries.
